I just read your lament about the leg pain and wanted to chime in. I'm from a family of physicians, which sometimes gives me access to info the OB's forget to mention. My mom, who trained in pediatrics and has developed hospital protocols on deep vein thrombosis, made me start wearing compression socks/tights at 5 weeks. The maternity tights have a stretchy baby panel. Mine are Sigvaris 20-30mm, and they are great. They keep your veins from swelling, help prevent blood clots (a bonus, since it sounds like you travel a fair bit) and also stave off the varicose veins. They're pricey--and kind of ugly--and you need a prescription, but I think it's worth it.Elizabethnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4480444082758121763.post-54139087642323910652011-05-05T15:55:02.241-04:002011-05-05T15:55:02.241-04:00I can't believe it's next month.
